How do Keepers work in the Fantasy Mock Draft Sim and Live Draft Assistant?

We support Keepers in ESPN and Sleeper with our draft tools but every platform treats Keepers a little different, so it can be a little confusing.

Generally we do our best to show which teams have kept which players, and which picks are forfeited as a result. This typically requires other players in the league to have selected their keepers and for the draft order to be finalized.  That draft order can be finalized at different times depending on the league's rule and the league's commissioner.  Some folks set the draft order at the end of the previous season but others don't until minutes before the draft starts. Ultimately we are at the mercy of your commissioner for whether or not we can properly show keepers!

For the Live Draft Assistant, since the draft order and keepers are typically set before the draft starts, we can generally note all the keepers, and forfeited picks, properly.

Fantasy Mock Draft Simulator

ESPN

ESPN does not allow users who are not the commissioner to see kept player pick numbers until the draft has begun. 

Sleeper

Sleeper does not mark a player as kept until the draft order is finalized. If your draft order is not marked as finalized you will not see any keepers picked in our mock draft simulator.

Yahoo!

Right now we don't support keeper leagues for Yahoo!  If you start a mock draft with a Yahoo! keeper league you will not see any keepers picked in our mock draft simulator.

Live Draft Assistant

ESPN

ESPN does not allow users who are not the commissioner to see kept player pick numbers until the draft has started. However, once the draft has started, this should all be set and Keepers will function normally in the Live Draft Assistant.

Sleeper

Sleeper allows users to start the draft with kept players assigned to a team, but not assigned a pick number. If your league has kept players who aren’t assigned a pick number they will always be available in our live draft assistant, but not draftable on Sleeper.

For example, in the above sleeper league:

  • User KV008 has not assigned any of her keeper players to a pick number

  • User sriram574 has assigned one keeper player to a pick number while two others are not assigned a pick number

 

Yahoo!

Right now we don't support keeper leagues for Yahoo!  If you start a mock draft with a Yahoo! keeper league you will not see any keepers picked in our mock draft simulator.
